Traci Christine Pearce
June 8
Van Nuys, California
I was raised a middle child in a family of ten. The youngest being
severely afflicted with Downs Syndrome. Her name was Trudy. The
reason I mention her is because it was she, believe it or not,
who encouraged me early on in my love for music. No matter how
bad I sounded, she’d beg me to play and sing for her…….never
judging nor disappointed, she was filled with joy. Her joy
was contagious and I could always count on my audience of one.
Although never classically trained, I was given both piano and
guitar lessons in my childhood. I always found myself most
happy when I was singing and playing and listening to music. Musically,
I’ve been influenced by many, James Taylor, Carly Simon,
Crosby Stills & Nash, Steely Dan, Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou
Harris, Karla Bonoff, Chicago, Carol King, Bonnie Raitt, The Beatlles, …the
list is too long.
At age 16, my family formed a band “Terusa and Company”. It
was then when I began my professional musical career.
I’ve performed in numerous professional situations since
then, and am extremely thankful for the many opportunities I’ve
been given. (Most of all the one in which I was given in
meeting my wonderful husband, Doub.) And though I’ve
had the privilege of being in many musical situations, never have I been more fulfilled
than where I am right now. Not only has the Lord given me
the deep desires of my heart as wife and mother, but also has given
me the honor to share what I LOVE to do most…WITH the
ones I love most…..FOR the one I love most! Needless
to say, I find myself extremely blessed! It’s so awesome
to watch my children grow musically as well as spiritually, and
watching what the Lord has called us to do, evolve right before
my eyes.
My deepest hope and prayer is that our Heavenly Father will continue
to use us and will be exalted through our meager offering of music.

| The Creator
and Ruler of everything. The One Who loves me most, my
Father, my Protector, my Friend. The One Who I cling
to everyday and the One I get the honor of spending eternity
with. Let everything that has breath, praise the
Lord! |
| The Son
of God Who gave His life for me; the One Who has forgiven
my wretched past and still accepts me with all my shortcomings,
continually cleansing me of my daily sin. The One
Who takes care of me and shows me how to become the woman
He’s made me to be. Without Him I have and
am nothing. |
| Being
a Holy Spirit led wife, mother, and friend, and being
utterly thankful each day for what God has given me. Holding my
family together through thick and thin and learning how
to love them unconditionally. Being able to share
Heaven with them. And most importantly, that our
Christian legacy will abundantly flow down through generations
to come |
| To walk in humility and integrity. Becoming
more intimate w/ my Heavenly Father and being content and
at peace with who He’s made me w/o putting emphasis
on what others think. And lastly, that my husband and children
will never be ashamed or embarrassed of me. |
| Touring and playing music with my family. Loving
up, and playing with my children and grandchildren. |
| The
Lord tapped on my heart about 17 years ago….through
a song sung by a band my husband was touring with. The
band was Brush Arbor, the song “Hello God” written
by Jim Rice. From that moment my life and heart
changed and has never been the same since. Praise
You Jesus! |
